Anthony Middleton


Anthony is an accomplished technical executive with 20 years international experience in defense and wireless industries. Trained in Aerospace Systems at the Royal Air Force School of Fighter Control, Anthony refined his management and leadership skills while deployed in the Joint Force Air Component and Fighter Control Branch. Before Swift Labs, Anthony was Director of Silicon Platform & Advanced Technologies at BlackBerry, leading programs that resulted in the sale of over 200 million units.

Lara Swift


With a Masters of Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Lara has led various new product development strategies. Most recently, she was Director of Product Delivery at BlackBerry, instrumental in commercializing RIM’s first internally developed modem. Lara formed world-class test teams and processes that positioned BlackBerry as an early leader in the emerging smartphone market.

Patrick Goulet


As Swift Labs VP Engineering, Patrick is responsible for the hardware and software development activities for all client projects. Patrick loves working with customers on defining their new product specifications, applying his engineering team’s expertise to deliver a reliable finished product. Patrick brings almost 30 years of experience in wireless, wireline and electronics product development ranging from design and qualification of Digital/Analog/RF semiconductor components to printed circuit boards and systems, in large organizations like Nortel and Blackberry. Prior to joining Swift Labs, Patrick directed a team of hardware designers that developed and qualified smartphone chipsets for BlackBerry products. Patrick graduated with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from University Laval in Quebec, and a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Waterloo, Ontario.

James Legue


James is an experienced technology driven leader with a background in the wireless, medical and education sectors spanning business operations to technical and product management capacities. An entrepreneur at heart, James as started his own company out of the Laurier LaunchPad, and has been part of multiple early stage start ups along with larger corporate entities. James has a degree in Computer Science from UW as well as an MBA from Laurier and brings more than 10 years experience from BlackBerry, OCAS, Miovision and Scintilla Design.

Terry Finnigan


Terry brings 25 years of experience in the electronics industry leading many New Product Introduction programs (NPI) worldwide, and supports all NPI activities at Swift Labs. As Senior Program Manager (Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management) at BlackBerry he managed 17 manufacturing NPI and product launches. Prior to Blackberry, Terry worked at Motorola for 9 years on mobile handset manufacturing and with various electronic hardware design companies. He has also worked at IBM and Seagate Technology, and holds an Honours Degree in Electronics from Caledonian University.

John Midwood


John is responsible for leading Swift Labs product certification activities for our clients, contributing to initial product design, verification and test along with final product approvals. He provides invaluable expertise and direction for clients wishing to gain Industry Certifications, Regulatory Certification, Global Market Access services for electrical and mechanical devices in the IoT, short range radio, cellular, medical, vehicular and petrochemical industries. Prior to joining Swift Labs, John held various senior testing and compliance roles with Research In Motion, and helped create and grow 7Layers UK. He began his career as a base station and handset engineer, and has a B.Eng in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering from Hull University in England.
