CEO, APPROACH INFINITY, INC. AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, ISARA CORPORATION
Mark Pecen serves as the CEO of Approach Infinity, Inc., and COO of ISARA Corporation. He’s been awarded the title of Motorola Distinguished Innovator and Science Advisory Board, and is an inventor on more than 100 fundamental patents in wireless communication, networking, and computing. He founded the Advanced Technology Research Centre and helped develop BlackBerry’s wireless and networking patent portfolio during his time as Senior Vice President at the company. Pecen holds positions on the boards of several institutions, including: University of Waterloo Institute for Quantum Computing, École Polytechnique, Wilfred Laurier University – Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, Canadian Digital Media Network, the Communication Research Centre (CRC) of Industry Canada.
Pecen is an advisor to the Canadian government and the European Commission, and also serves as chairman of the European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI) and industry standardization group, Quantum Safe Cryptography (QSC).
Scott A. Snyder, Ph.D.

Dr. Snyder brings over 27 years of business leadership, strategic planning, and technology management experience to his role as Co-founder, President, and Chief Strategy Officer of Mobiquity. A Senior Fellow in the Management Department at the Wharton School, and an Adjunct Faculty Member in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Snyder also founded the Wireless Innovation Council, and sits on the Advisory Boards of Safeguard Scientific and several emerging growth companies.

David is the Chair of the Waterloo Innovation Summit, and Executive in Residence at Ontario Centres of Excellence.Over his 34-year career, David has provided strategic leadership in a wide range of sectors, including: government, academia, and the diplomatic corps. David has a PhD from the University of Toronto, a BA and MA from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor of Theology from Canadian Mennonite University. He and his wife have two children and six grandchildren.

Sean Gomes is a partner at Gowling WLG’s Waterloo Region office and a member of the firm’s Tech, Capital Markets and M&A groups. His law practice involves assisting companies in a wide variety of business and technology matters, including, cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and more. Sean regularly provides advice to entrepreneurs and startup companies regarding incorporation, shareholder agreements, funding and financing, and various other legal issues affecting early stage businesses.
